The last time Microsoft wasn’t a leader in Analytics and Business Intelligence on Gartner’s Magic Quadrant, the Cleveland Browns had their most recent winning record. All the way back in 2007 . While the Browns show serious promise next year (full disclosure: this writer is a Believeland fan) and many think they might even make the Playoffs, don’t expect Microsoft to drop off the Magic Quadrant any time soon.

Once again, Microsoft is not only a leader for the 12th year in a row, but has the best ability to execute and most complete vision by far . Power BI continues to lead the way, available both in the cloud (SaaS, Azure) and on-premises (Power BI Report Server).
